ok, need to blog abt this.
it is abt CUSTOMER SERVICE.
went to a furniture shop at amk with the objective of just wanting to look around.
as we stepped in, several salespeople were around but seated, doing their own things aka relaxing.
few steps further into the shop, there was this particular salesguy who approached and practically GLUED himself to us, wherever we walked to.
as a salesperson, offering customer your assistance is perfectly fine, IF you were to do it once.
and when customer said there's no need to, it really means NO NEED TO.
but this salesguy? NO.
he offered unwanted assistance & asked unwanted qns for like practically every minute?
pls laaaaaaaa.......
then came a point when i got freakin' irritated, i blurted, "NO. WE'RE JUST LOOKING AROUND. CAN WE LOOK AROUND??"
salesguy: "sure sure."
me: THANKS.
but mum just led the way out of the shop, sensing the 'cold' atmosphere.

what i'm getting at is this,
a salesperson really need to know the boundaries.
customers don't wish to get suffocated by all the stalking and qns upon stepping into a store, when all they want is to browse and 'wash-eye'.
give them some personal space for gdness sake.
if they need assistance, they'll approach the nearest salesperson available.
salespeople just need to be alert and always be on their toes in any cases that they are needed for help.
that's not hard to do right?
by doing what the particular salesguy did, will just chase customers away from his shop...which really happened.

ok, said what i wanted to.
i'm HAPPY now.
hee~
